MSNBC announced on Thursday that network propagandist Joy Reid, host of the weekend show AM Joy, will be moving to a weekday prime-time slot despite her history of homophobic statements.
Reid will host The ReidOut on weekdays at 7 p.m., taking the slot formerly occupied by longtime Hardball host Chris Matthews, who resigned last year in the wake of sexual harassment allegations.
“The Washington, D.C.-based show will feature one-on-one conversations with politicians and newsmakers while addressing provocative political issues both inside and outside of the beltway,” the press release stated, calling Reid a “best-selling author and public speaker” with “decades-long experience in politics” and a “passion for addressing the intersection of race, justice and culture.” Actually, her passion is for promoting a progressive agenda under a pretense of journalism.
The press release also neglected to mention Reid’s history of controversial homophobic comments, which were unearthed on her former blog in 2017.
