Joy Reid: Defund the Police ‘Energized’ Young Voters

December 3, 2020

Wednesday on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, host/propagandist Joy Reid mildly took exception to former President Barack Obama’s criticism of the radical left’s call to “defund the police” as a slogan that spooks supporters, arguing that no one who “disagrees with defund the police was ever going to vote for any Democrat anyway,” and that the slogan “energized a lot of young voters.”

“I gently disagree with President Obama,” Reid said. “I don’t think anybody who disagrees with defund the police was ever going to vote for any Democrat anyway, so I think it energized a lot of young voters.”

Reid is correct on both counts. Only Democrat elites like her, and easily-manipulated young radicals think that demonizing and defunding the police is a positive step for society. The reality is that defunding the police will have terrible ramifications for inner-city blacks, who declare in polls that they want increased police presence, not less. Fewer police will leave them more vulnerable to gang violence and the destruction of their communities.

Reid doesn’t care about those citizens. She has an agenda to promote.
