In Primetime Debut, Reid Gives Biden a Pass on Using N-Word

July 21, 2020

Monday on her debut episode of The Reid Out on MSNBC, race agitator Joy Reid gave presumptive 2020 Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden a pass concerning the revelation that he repeatedly used the “N-word” in the 1980s in U.S. Senate hearings.

In her first primetime outing replacing disgraced former host Chris Matthews, Reid landed an interview with Biden, who wisely has avoided public appearances in recent months because he is no longer able to conceal his cognitive issues. Reid “neglected” to ask Biden about unearthed video of him using the “N-word” thirteen times over three separate Senate hearings in 1985. His campaign still has not addressed the issue.

As Breitbart News noted, Reid’s decision to give Biden a pass on his repeated use of the racial slur—even though he was quoting someone else—cuts against her history of calling out almost anyone who uses the term, from politicians to Hollywood directors.

Imagine the media apoplexy if a similar recording of President Trump emerged. But Biden, who already is on thin ice with the black community, must be protected.
