New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday his state will partner with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to “reimagine” its school system as New Yorkers move toward a post-pandemic “new normal.”
Cuomo announced on Tuesday that the state will work with the Foundation because “the old model of our education system where everyone sits in a classroom is not going to work in the new normal.”
“When we do reopen our schools let’s reimagine them for the future, and to do that we are collaborating with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and exploring smart, innovative education alternatives using all the new technology we have at our disposal,” Cuomo said. You may recall that Gates and his foundation spearheaded the progressive initiative known as Common Core, which proved to be a disaster for the state of American education.
Beware when progressives talk excitedly about a “new normal” and “reimagining education.” You can be sure that both phrases will refer to regressive debacles.
