Abu Rami is the leader of Nakithoun (“Renegades”), one of four factions of the radical Islamist Hizb ut-Tahrir (“the Party of Liberation”) that has been outlawed in Germany, Russia and many other nations that regard it as subversive and linked to terrorists.

The aim of this party is to replace all existing governments with global Islamic government under a single ruler of the restored Caliphate. It reportedly has tens of thousands of supporters organized in secret cells in as many as 40 countries.

Rami, according to Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed (who in 1986 established Hizb ut-Tahrir in the United Kingdom), “dismissed the Amir of HT [Hizb ut-Tahrir], Abdul Qadeem Zalloum, who at that time led HT from a secret location, and established a separate organization.”

Nakithoun is the second strongest Hizb ut-Tahrir faction, with the “Zalloumis” still first, according to Sheikh Bakri Mohammed, and this renegade group is “big in Jordan.”

Like Rami and Nakithoun, Osama bin Laden has said that the goal of Al Qaeda is to “unite all Muslims and to establish a government which follows the rule of the Caliphs.”
