* Education and Political Action Coordinator for the Middle East Children’s Alliance
* Believes the War in Iraq was orchestrated by the Israeli government

Uda Walker is the Education and Political Action Coordinator for the radically anti-Israel and anti-American Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA), based in Berkeley. The MECA, which was founded and is led by Berkeley leftist Barbara Lubin, raises funds for organizations in the Palestinian territories, Lebanon, and Iraq which refuse to recognize Israel’s existence. Walker was a contact for LAW – The Palestinian Society for the Protection of Human Rights & the Environment, a Jerusalem-based anti-Israel organization founded in 1990 by a group of attorneys. In December 2003, on the Berkeley-based Flashpoints radio program,Walker claimed the war on Iraq was choreographed by the Israeli government. In August 2004, also on Flashpoints, Walker stated that American lawmakers are “scared to death [to cut off funding to Israel], because the Israel lobby is after them.”

Walker angrily alleges that Wheels of Justice (WoJ) – an anti-Israel group that she helped create with Al-Awda, Voices in the Wilderness, and the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) – was disinvited from a Bay Area high school because the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of San Francisco put pressure on that school. The JCRC has in fact lobbied to stop numerous Wheels of Justice presentations. WoJ presentations to children in elementary and middle schools amount to an inappropriate form of political indoctrination. According to Steve Berley, who directs the JCRC’s Israel Program, “They [WoJ] provide a one-sided and narrow perspective; it’s a lot of Israel-bashing. . . . They also speak highly of International Solidarity Movement.” Moreover, Wheels of Justice characterizes America’s policies in Iraq and Israel’s actions in the occupied territories as “illegal and immoral.”
