Ethnic Studies

Ethnic Studies

Overview

The Ethnic Studies Departments that have proliferated so rapidly on U.S. university campuses in recent decades, typically portray the United States as a nation thoroughly and permanently infested with white racism. Adopting a Marxist reading of history, Ethnic Studies curricula teach that the U.S. has always oppressed, and will always continue to oppress, its nonwhite populations, who in turn are portrayed as permanent victims of the racism that allegedly dominates American culture.

Notably, Ethnic Studies curricula have also become widespread in primary and secondary schools.
