YCL has been a consistent opponent of free-trade agreements and American-led military interventions anywhere in the world. Indeed the League was asignatory to a May 30, 2000 document denouncing globalization, big business in general, and the World Trade Organization in particular. It continues to support the “struggle for immediate needs like health care, jobs at a living wage, affirmative action, social welfare programs and much more.” And it is a member organization of the pro-Castro antiwar coalition known as United for Peace and Justice.
