NAIT manages the Iman Fund (formerly known as the Dow Jones Islamic Fund), a no-load mutual fund offered by a NAIT subsidiary called Allied Asset Advisors. The Iman Fund invests exclusively in “Sharia-compliant companies,” a designation that generally excludes entities dealing with such products as alcohol, tobacco, pork, conventional financial services (banking, insurance, etc.), weapons and defense, and entertainment (hotels, casinos/gambling, cinema, pornography, music, etc.).
