In mid-July 2006, when Israel was engaged in a two-front war against Hamas and Hezbollah, Al-Dameer accused the “international community” of “conducting a mute conspiracy and encourag[ing] the Occupation Government to commit more crimes.” Al-Dameer’s statement made no mention of the longstanding terror war which the Palestinians had been waging against Israel, a war that featured the relentless bombardment of southern Israel with thousands of Qassam rocket attacks even during times of ostensible truce.
