* In a 2004 article that appeared in a Columbia Graduate School of Journalism publication, Sarsour revealed that a pair of incarcerated men who were pictured in an Arabic-language newspaper that recruited suicide bombers for Hamas were, respectively, her cousin and a family friend. Meanwhile, Sarsour’s brother-in-law was serving a twelve-year prison sentence in Israel for his involvement with Hamas.

* Sarsour has received the YWCA USA’s “Women of Distinction Award for Advocacy and Civic Engagement,” and the Hala Maksoud Leadership Award from the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.

* Sarsour’s husband, Maher Judeh (a.k.a., Maher Abo Tamer), mourned the 1998 death of the Hamas “master terrorists” Adel and Imad Awadallah; praised the late Palestinian Authority police officer Amjad Sukkari, who in January 2016 had carried out a shooting attack at a checkpoint in Israel, as a hero; has expressed support for the terrorist organization Fatah; and has lauded the founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of PalestineGeorge Habash.

* The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center, a Jordanian think tank, has named Sarsour as one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world.

* Sarsour is a member of the New York chapter of the Network of Arab-American Professionals.

* In November 2017, Sarsour received one of Glamour magazine’s “Women of the Year” Awards.

* Over the years, Linda Sarsour’s brother, Diya Sarsour, posted numerous anti-Semitic tweets. For example, in November 2012 he wrote that “Fox [News] is run by a bunch of Jews,” and “Their a bunch of pro Romney red jews in there [at Fox].” When the Hostess snacks company filed for bankruptcy that same month, Diya Sarsour tweeted: “Obviously hostess was going to eventually go out of business. They don’t make kosher snacks. Wasn’t gonna be long before the jews got to em.”
