* Arnove holds a B.A. in English and Religion from Oberlin College (1991), as well as an M.A. and Ph.D. from Brown University, where he studied in the Modern Culture & Media program.
* Arnove has written for such publications as Z Magazine, The Nation, Socialist Worker, O Magazine, Monthly Review, In These Times, International Socialist Review, Red Pepper, Mother Jones, and Left Business Observer, and other publications. Moreover, he has been interviewed by BBC, Democracy Now!, Sky News, ABC Radio in Australia, Alternative Radio, CounterSpin, Air America, and public radio programs across the United States.
* Arnove is a member of the National Writers Union and the Dramatist’s Guild.
* For several years, Arnove served as a producer of Howard Zinn’s play Marx in Soho, which has been performed internationally under Arnove’s leradership.
* Arnove co-founded the nonprofit organization Voices of a People’s History of the United States, Inc., where he served as secretary-treasurer.
* In December 2005, Arnove was a signatory to a letter demanding that the Justice Department and U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales grant a stay of execution to the infamous multiple murderer Stanley “Tookie” Williams.
* Arnove worked for seven years as an editor and publisher at South End Press, a left-wing publishing house that shut down in 2014.
* In 2015, Arnove wrote the introduction for the 35th anniversary edition of Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States.
