Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated recently that the upcoming U.S. midterm elections will be “a real test” of the company’s ability to crack down on “hate speech” and misinformation.
Zuckerberg stated in a Hollywood Reporter article that Facebook will make its biggest increase in money spent this year on safeguards designed to protect the social media platform from “bad actors.”
Facebook will see “all the good and bad that humanity can do,” he said, but it’s getting better at hiding the “bad stuff” from users.
