Who’s the current president, again? Apparently a September date has been set for the unveiling of another commemorative portrait of former (?) President Barack Obama at the White House, in a ceremony hosted by his former (?) #2, President (?) Joe Biden.
It was announced Thursday that portraits of the puppet-master Barack and former First Lady Michelle “I’ve never been proud of my country until my husband was elected” Obama will be presented in the East Room on Sept. 7, according to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. “That’ll be very exciting,” she gushed.
Um, okay.
The official White House portraits are separate from the National Portrait Gallery paintings the Obamas revealed in 2018. On that occasion Barack’s portrait, painted by controversial artist Kehinde Wiley, was widely mocked.
