Waters: Trump’s Exec Orders Are Constitutionally ‘Questionable’

August 10, 2020

Sunday on MSNBC, unhinged Trump critic Rep. Maxine Waters predictably said the President’s executive orders addressing the economic downturn caused by the coronavirus pandemic were “extraordinarily misleading.”

“The president’s executive orders are questionable,” said the chair of the House Financial Services Committee. “First of all, it’s questionable whether or not he could do what he’s attempting to go constitutionality. But in addition to that, they’re extraordinarily misleading. I am so focused on rental assistance.”

Her subsequent blathering was mercifully muddied by technical difficulties, but Waters did manage to add, “So, the eviction moratorium is over. This president is playing politics with this issue. As a matter of fact, that particular order that he references in his so-called executive orders — ”

Technical issues obscured her concluding point, but what really infuriates Democrats who complain that Trump is “playing politics” with any given issue is that he beats them at their own game.
