Waters: Stimulus a ‘BOGUS Check From a BOGUS President’

April 15, 2020

In one of her most inane anti-Trump rants yet, impeachment-obsessed Rep. Maxine Waters complained on Twitter on Tuesday that people receiving coronavirus stimulus checks with President Trump’s name on them “may think it’s a BOGUS check from a BOGUS president!”

Trump’s name reportedly will be printed on the checks in the memo line, below a line that reads, ‘Economic Impact Payment.’” According to the Washington Post, it is usually “standard practice for a civil servant to sign checks issued by the Treasury Department to ensure that government payments are nonpartisan.”

“Whaaaat? Don’t dirty up the economic impact payments w/ Don the Con’s name on the checks that are being sent to American families to get thru the crisis,” Waters tweeted. “People may think it’s a BOGUS check from a BOGUS president!”

On the contrary, as Breitbart News notes, Trump’s name on the stimulus checks likely would spur Americans to cash them immediately.
