Waters: ‘Senate Democrats, Do Not Back Down’ on RBG

September 21, 2020

Friday evening after the news of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death, Trump-hating Rep. Maxine Waters urged Senate Democrats to stand strong and “not back down” in the face of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s vow to proceed with a vote on President Trump’s nominee to replace her RBG.

After expressing her condolences to Ginsburg’s family and praising her as a “titan & legend on the Supreme Court,” Waters delivered her message directly to Senate Democrats: “Do not back down!”

Prior to her passing, Ginsburg reportedly told her granddaughter, Clara Spera, that her “most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.” Waters and her fellow Democrats apparently consider honoring dying wishes to be a sacred duty.

“Justice Ginsburg’s dying wish was that her seat would not be filled until a new president is installed!” Waters declared. “Senate Democrats, do not back down. You have a tough fight ahead but our future is on the line! No SCOTUS appointment before the election!!!” Sorry, Senator, but dying wishes don’t get a vote.
