Waters: I Can’t Prove it, But Putin and Trump Made a Deal

December 17, 2019

Monday on CNN’s OutFront, Rep. Maxine Waters admitted she had no proof, but claimed that Vladimir Putin made a secret deal to get President Trump elected in exchange for lifting sanctions on Russia.

“I had done some research. I knew about his alignment with Putin,” Waters boasted with no evidence. “I knew about Manafort and what the relationship was. And the fact that he had been sent there by Putin, in essence, to head up the president’s campaign. Because I believe, even though I don’t have the facts to prove it, I believe that Putin wanted to lift the sanctions… So I believe that they wanted to elect President Trump. And Trump, I believe, agreed. I will always believe this, that he agreed that if he got elected, he would lift those sanctions.”

“This president will not condemn Putin for hacking into the Democratic National Committee,” she added. “Will not condemn him for hacking into our election system. These are facts.” No, they’re not. Robert Mueller’s three-year investigation produced zero evidence of Russian collusion in the 2016 election. The fact is that Waters has simply been broken by Trump’s election.
