Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Wednesday announced that she intends to put racial justice “at the center of our response to climate change,” and unveiled a plan to redress “environmental racism” with a $1 trillion investment into minority communities.
“A seminal study found that black families are more likely to live in neighborhoods with higher concentrations of air pollution than white families – even when they have the same or more income,” reads a statement on Warren’s website. “A more recent study found that while whites largely cause air pollution, Blacks and Latinxs [sic] are more likely to breathe it in.”
Typical of Democrats who find white racist oppression everywhere, Warren states, “We didn’t get here by accident. Our crisis of environmental injustice is the result of decades of discrimination and environmental racism compounding in communities that have been overlooked for too long.”
Warren’s inherently racist identity politics has nothing to do with justice, and everything to do with dividing Americans and amassing power to the state.
