Speaking to reporters in Toledo, Ohio, on Tuesday, 2020 White House contender Sen. Elizabeth Warren said President Trump’s recent social media condemnation of the failed city of Baltimore and its Rep. Elijah Cummings was “despicable.”
“I think that what Donald Trump has done over the past couple of days is despicable. And the reason he has done this is that Trump is trying to distract from the fact that his is a failed presidency,” Warren claimed.
“And Donald Trump hopes that if he can just trust racism, really ugly stuff, that everyone will pay attention to that instead of paying attention to what a failure he is,” she added.
On the contrary, what the Democrats are trying to do with ugly accusations of racism is distract from the facts that Trump is right about Baltimore, that Cummings is ineffectual, and that Trump’s presidency has brought unprecedented prosperity to the minorities that constitute the Democrat base.
