Elitist harpy Sen. Elizabeth Warren, along with Reps. Pramila Jayapal and Brendan Boyle, unveiled a wealth tax proposal on Monday imposing a 2% tax on the net value of assets for the wealthiest people in America.
The “Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act of 2021” would impose a two percent tax on the net value of all taxable assets over $50 million after debts are subtracted. That goes up to 3% for net assets above $1 billion.
The tax, Warren wrote on Twitter, is “critical for raising revenue, and that revenue is critical for raising opportunity. We build a future for all of our kids by investing in opportunity.” Except that Warren and the Democrats don’t care about opportunities for kids. They care about punishing success by the “redistribution” of wealth.
This proposal has been multi-millionaire Warren’s vision for greater economic equality in the country since her failed presidential campaign. She has a net worth of over $12 million and has received donations from at least 30 billionaires during her career, according to Breitbart News.
