Warren: ‘I Don’t Do Polls For Myself’

May 28, 2019

Presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren declared on Sunday in Salem, Iowa, that she does not test the popularity of her policy proposals through polling.

“I don’t do polls for myself,” said the Democrat Senator from Massachusetts. “How many polls did I do before I ran for president? Zero. How many have I run since I’ve been in the race for president? Zero.”

“I know what I’m out here fighting for. But I’ve watched the national polls on that wealth tax, and paying off — forgiving, canceling the student loan debt,” Warren added, referring to a couple of her proposals, “and it’s popular with more than two out of every three Americans. That’s Americans; that’s not just Democrats.”
