Warren Attacks GOP ‘Opponents of Democracy’ on 1/6 Anniversary

January 6, 2022

In a speech on the Senate floor Wednesday, anti-Trump harpy Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) attacked Republican “opponents of democracy” and the threat to democracy of the January 6 “insurrection.”

“Today, Republican opponents of democracy are exploiting every possible avenue to allow their party to maintain control,” Warren said. “The January 6 insurrection made painfully clear that American democracy is seriously at risk.”

Fact checks: 1) there was no insurrection on January 6, 2021; 2) American democracy is indeed seriously at risk, but not at the hands of Republicans.

“The Senate must not turn a blind eye while the federal judiciary and state legislatures lead an all-out assault against free and fair elections in America. It’s clear that Donald Trump’s Republican Party is embracing an increasingly authoritarian movement,” she added.

Fact checks: 1) the only assault against free and fair elections in America comes from Democrat efforts to repudiate Republican-led voter integrity laws and to facilitate their own voter fraud; and 2) radical leftists like Warren, not Trump conservatives, are behind the only increasingly authoritarian movement in America.
