White House 2020 contender Elizabeth Warren fired a shot across the bow of her rival Michael Bloomberg on Tuesday, calling him an “egomaniac billionaire” one day prior to the Las Vegas Democrat debate in which both will participate.
“It’s a shame Mike Bloomberg can buy his way into the debate. But at least now primary voters curious about how each candidate will take on Donald Trump can get a live demonstration of how we each take on an egomaniac billionaire,” Warren said. “Bloomberg is making a bet about Democracy in 2020. He doesn’t need people. He only needs bags and bags of money.”
The floundering candidate’s comments about the rising Bloomberg came after it was revealed he had successfully qualified for Wednesday’s primary debate despite not being on the Nevada caucus ballot.
Of course, Warren is trying to buy votes by offering people bags and bags of taxpayer money in the form of such programs as student loan forgiveness and universal healthcare.
