W.H.O. Chief Tedros: Coronavirus Pandemic is ‘Far from Over’

March 10, 2022

At a press conference on Wednesday, World Health Organization (W.H.O.) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus surprised no one by declaring that the coronavirus pandemic is far from over and that global governments must continue enforcing social compliance until the “experts” say otherwise.

The longstanding member of a Marxist-Leninist Ethiopian political party spoke as the world’s attention has veered away from COVID to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“Two years later, more than six million people have died,” Tedros told reporters. “Although reported cases and deaths are declining globally, and several countries have lifted restrictions, the pandemic is far from over – and it will not be over anywhere until it’s over everywhere.”

In other words, it will never be over, so W.H.O. (and Tedros) must maintain its status as a powerfully influential world authority for all time, and funding and donations to W.H.O. must keep flowing.

“W.H.O. is concerned that several countries are drastically reducing testing,” Tedros added. “This inhibits our ability to see where the virus is, how it’s spreading and how it’s evolving.”

It also inhibits W.H.O.’s (and Tedros’) status as a major power player in world affairs.
