Testifying before the Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday, clueless Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen declared that she expects inflation to remain “high” in the United States.
“I do expect inflation to remain high, although I very much hope that it will be coming down now,” Yellen stated. “I think that bringing inflation down should be our number one priority.”
It should be, but it won’t be, because the Biden administration’s aim is to destroy the middle class through record inflation and gas prices, supply chain crises, food shortages, and the collapse of the system generally.
Last week, Yellen conceded to CNN, “I think I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take. As I mentioned, there have been unanticipated and large shocks to the economy that have boosted energy and food prices and supply bottlenecks that have affected our economy badly that I didn’t — at the time — didn’t fully understand, but we recognize that now.”
What she doesn’t seem to understand, or refuses to acknowledge, is that those large shocks to the economy were caused by the Biden administration, and they were intentional.
