Tlaib: Trump ‘Afraid of Women of Color’

August 27, 2019

In the wake of her decision not to visit her aging grandmother in Israel after the Jewish state granted her permission to do so, Rep. Rashida Tlaib declared that President Trump is “afraid of women of color.”

After Tlaib delivered a tearful public statement regarding her decision, Trump responded on Twitter, “Sorry, I don’t buy Rep. Tlaib’s tears. I have watched her violence, craziness and, most importantly, WORDS, for far too long. Now tears? She hates Israel and all Jewish people. She is an anti-Semite.”

“It’s been very clear to me, especially this last week, that he’s scared of us,” Tlaib subsequently said in a Guardian interview. “He’s afraid of women of color… because we’re not afraid of him and we’re not afraid to speak up and say that we have a white supremacist in the White House who has a hate agenda. He’s afraid because we have a real agenda for the American people.”

President Trump has made it clear after two-and-a-half years in office that he is afraid of no one, and the only hate agenda is Tlaib’s anti-Semitism.
