Tlaib on the Police: ‘No System Should Have This Much Power’

August 28, 2020

On social media on Thursday, radical Rep. Rashida Tlaib raged following reports of authorities handcuffing a partially-paralyzed black Wisconsin criminal to a hospital bed, voicing her opposition to a system “where the perpetrators of attempted murder get to handcuff their victim” and concluding that “you can’t reform this.”

“How the f**k do you handcuff Jacob Blake that you paralyzed to a hospital bed after you shot him in the back seven times?” Tlaib asked. “I oppose a system where the perpetrators of attempted murder get to handcuff their victim.”

This is grotesquely irresponsible; the cops weren’t attempting to murder but to protect themselves from a criminal who had brawled with the cops, resisted arrest, and reached inside the cab of his truck for a knife after refusing verbal commands.

“No system should have this much power,” said the woman actively pushing for a socialist system in the U.S. “You can’t reform this,” she added, suggesting police departments have to be scrapped entirely.

“Jacob Blake has felony warrants for his arrest from crimes he committed prior to the shooting incident,” a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department spokesman explained. Those crimes included sexual abuse, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespassing. “Anyone with this classification level that we are guarding in the hospital would be treated in this manner.”
