Rep. Rashida Tlaib booed Hillary Clinton at an event in Clive, Iowa, on Friday for her presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, drawing laughter from the audience.
During a panel discussion at Sanders’ “Caucus Concert,” the moderator made a reference to Clinton’s recent remarks that “nobody likes [Sanders].” “We’re not going to boo. We’re not going to boo. We’re classy here,” the moderator warned the audience, but Tlaib begged to differ. “No, no, I’ll boo,” she said, shouting “boo” loudly into the microphone, which drew laughter from the audience as well as her fellow far-left Reps. Ilhan Omar and Pramila Jayapal.
“You all know I can’t be quiet,” Tlaib added. “No. We’re going to boo. That’s all right. The haters, the haters will shut up on Monday when we win.”
Tlaib and her fellow far-left “Squad” members in Congress, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have no patience for old-school, establishment radicals like Hillary. They’re backing Sanders because, like him, they’re hardcore ideologues.
