On Monday, the premature “transition” team of self-declared President-Elect Joe Biden defended a photo of his press secretary Jen Psaki wearing a pink hammer and sickle hat.

“Here’s Jen Psaki hugging Russia’s Foreign Minister and Russia’s chief foreign affairs propagandist while wearing a pink hammer and sickle hat,” wrote Trump Campaign Deputy Director of Communications Matt Wolking, who shared the 2014 pic on social media.

In the photo, Psaki is standing next to Russian ambassador Sergey Lavrov and Russian spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. At the time, Psaki worked for former President Barack Obama’s traitorous State Department. Then-Secretary of State John Kerry is also in the photo. The Russians tweeted an image of Psaki wearing the hat in 2014 as well.

The Biden team dismissed it as a gift from the Russians, and said such exchanges were common on foreign trips. They cited an instance in which Kerry gave Lavrov two Idaho potatoes.

The difference is that a hammer-and-sickle hat represents a political system that is fundamentally inimical to America. Try to imagine President Trump’s press secretary Kayleigh McEnany proudly posing in a hat symbolizing communism.
