Former entertainer Barbra Streisand took to social media Wednesday to assert that President Trump is obsessed with the legacy of former President Barack Obama, which she claims he will never live up to.
In response to an address in which Trump said Obama’s disastrous nuclear deal with Iran had given the terror state access to billions of dollars, Streisand tweeted, “Trump once again lies and obsesses about President Obama, whose legacy he’ll never live up to. Iran wasn’t given our money but sent their own frozen assets, and the amount is a fraction of what Trump claims.”
Trump had stated, “Iran’s hostilities substantially increased after the foolish Iran nuclear deal was signed in 2013, and they were given $150 billion, not to mention $1.8 billion in cash.” He added that “Iran went on a terror spree funded by the money from the deal and created hell in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Iraq.”
Obama’s legacy is one of appeasement, terrorism-funding, anti-Americanism, and anti-Semitism. Streisand is correct that Trump will never match that.
