Sunday on CBS’s Face the Nation, billionaire White House hopeful Tom Steyer claimed hilariously that President Trump was a “terrible economic president.”
“He’s running on the economy, but he’s really running on a Mar-a-Lago economy where he’s given big benefits to rich people and big corporations in the short run,” Steyer asserted falsely. He went on to claim that “long-term prosperity and justice” come from “investing in young people through education, specifically including universal pre-kindergarten, and by dealing with issues of health around the country…
“[H]e’s avoiding the actual long term prosperity of Americans that is done by investing in the American people… And that means education, health care for every American, a living wage,” he added.
The terrible economist is one who thinks that “free” education, “free” health care, and a “living wage” for every American would lead to any prosperity at all, short-term or long-term.
