In an interview with the New York Times, former Daily Show host Jon Stewart said the police exist to enforce “segregation” on the border between what he called the “two Americas.”
“The police are a reflection of a society,” Stewart said. “They’re not a rogue alien organization that came to torment the black community. They’re enforcing segregation. The police are, in some respects, a border patrol, they patrol the border between the two Americas.”
“There’s not a white person out there who would want to be treated like even a successful black person in this country,” Stewart added. Really? I think countless whites would be happy to be given the same royal treatment as Oprah Winfrey or Jay-Z or Michelle Obama.
“We use the police as surrogates to quarantine these racial and economic inequalities so that we don’t have to deal with them,” he continued. Pure leftist nonsense. The police put their lives on the line every day to combat rampant crime in Democrat-controlled inner cities.
