Soros Super PAC Plans to Target Rural Voters on Health Care

June 24, 2019

The American Bridge 21st Century super political action committee (PAC), founded by Media Matters for America chief David Brock and funded by left-wing billionaire George Soros, is planning to spend $50 million targeting President Trump’s conservative political base in rural areas on the issue of health care.

Breitbart reports that American Bridge, a major source of opposition research, polled voters in small towns and rural areas and found that the president is vulnerable among his base on health care. Only  25% of respondents gave Trump a positive rating for “reducing health care costs,” and only 39% favored Trump on “taking on the drug and pharmaceutical companies.”

American Bridge hopes to shift just enough of Trump’s rural support to push key states toward the Democrats.
