“I think that the real problem the Democrats are going to have is the next debate, you have no black on that stage,” Sharpton said. “The Democratic Party cannot have a stage where black voters do not see themselves reflected. Where they don’t see themselves reflected and expect that we’ll come out and vote in big numbers. You must have had black turnout, but we don’t turn up in the debate? There is something that is wrong with that, and some of us are not going to be quiet about it.
“Women are held to a different standard, and black women especially are held to a different standard,” Sharpton added.
Of course, Kamala Harris was running for the Democrat nomination, so any sexism and racism that may have been at fault for her campaign failure could only be blamed on Sharpton’s fellow Democrats.
