Former Starbucks CEO and 2020 presidential hopeful Howard Schultz said Wednesday that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) came to him a few years ago seeking a campaign donation to her Senate campaign.
Schultz told MSNBC that he declined her request because he didn’t support her socialistic policies. “I don’t believe the country should be heading to socialism,” he said to MSNBC. “I think she believes in programs that will lead to a level of socialism in America.”
Billionaire Schultz announced over the weekend that he was “seriously considering” a third-party bid for president as an independent centrist.
