Campaigning in Iowa last weekend with supporter Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders took a swipe at former New York City Mayor and billionaire competitor Michael Bloomberg, declaring, “Sorry, you ain’t going to buy this election.”
“Our campaign is going to end a corrupt political system dominated by billionaires and wealthy campaign contributors,” the aging communist Sanders told a crowd in Coralville, Iowa, on Saturday. “Our campaign is going to end the grotesque level of income and wealth inequality which exists in America today. So tonight, we say to Michael Bloomberg and other billionaires, ‘Sorry, you ain’t going to buy this election.’”
Bloomberg reportedly fears that no one among the current crop of Democrat candidates is strong enough to beat Trump in 2020, so he intends to “spend whatever it takes to defeat” the president.
Bloomberg is right: none of the leftist radicals vying for the Dem nomination can beat Trump — least of all the arrogant totalitarian Bloomberg himself.
