Sanders Tells Biden Defeating Trump is ‘Not Enough’

September 4, 2019

In an interview on local news station WKXL in New Hampshire on Tuesday, 2020 White House contender Bernie Sanders told reporters that his competitor Joe Biden‘s aim of defeating President Trump in next year’s election is “not enough.”

“I will do everything I can to defeat Donald Trump, and Biden is right. That’s what we’ve got to do,” Sanders said. “I think that’s not enough. And I think certainly what our campaign is about is speaking to the pain that working families in New Hampshire and in Vermont have all over this country.”

“You’ve got to beat Trump, but that’s not enough,” he continued. “We have to transform this country and create a government and an economy that works for all of us and not just the one percent.”

Sanders’ plan to “transform this country,” however, includes massive socialist government programs that will only cause more pain to the working families he claims to champion.
