Sanders: Ban Cops from Using Tear Gas, Pepper Spray, Rubber Bullets Against Rioters

August 26, 2020

On Twitter on Wednesday, aging communist and failed presidential candidate Bernie Sanders called for a ban on law enforcement using non-lethal munitions such as tear gas, pepper spray, and rubber bullets on violent rioters.

“No more tear gas, no more pepper spray, no more rubber bullets on protestors. Ban them all,” Sanders tweeted, linking to a piece titled, “Kenosha police fire tear gas to disperse crowd protesting shooting.” That headline, of course, does not remotely do justice to the truth of that situation.

Meanwhile, Sanders has said nothing to condemn the violent rage and destruction of what the left-dominated media calls “mostly peaceful protesters” that are sweeping across the country.

Unless Sanders is calling for police to use lethal means of crowd control, then he is effectively calling for officers to have literally no means of enforcing law and order against mobs of violent offenders.
