Rep. Pressley: Lower Voting Age to 16, Raise Gun-Buying Age to 21

Radical “Squad” member Rep. Ayanna Pressley wants to lower the voting age to 16 but also wants to raise the age to buy a firearm to 21, according to Fox News.

“A 16-year-old in 2021 possesses a wisdom and a maturity that comes from 2021 challenges, 2021 hardships, and 2021 threats,” Pressley blathered in March last year. “Now is the time for us to demonstrate the courage that matches the challenges of the modern-day 16- and 17-year-old.”

Fact check: if anything, “modern-day” teens are even less worldly and wise than teens from eras past. They are, however, easily propagandized thanks to social media, celebrity influence, and the atrocious education they’ve received from the leftist education establishment.

Pressley hasn’t bothered to explain the logic behind believing that 16-year-olds are mature enough to vote but 20-year-olds aren’t mature enough to own a gun, but her agenda is obvious: Democrats want the votes of clueless, naive, idealistic, easily-manipulated young teens. Dems would lower the voting age to 6 if they could.
