Friday on Twitter, filmmaker and anti-Trump hysteric Rob Reiner urged his followers to violently resist any Republican attempt to replace the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court, declaring “This is war.”
Reiner also warned that President Trump will try to steal RBG’s place on the high court: “Today couldn’t be sadder. A brilliant Jurist, Ruth Bader Ginsburg is gone. We must fight not to allow an Impeached Criminal to take her seat,” he tweeted.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had announced in a statement shortly after news broke late Friday of Ginsburg’s death that he would ensure Trump’s nominee to succeed her will get a vote: “President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.”
“Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s body isn’t even cold and Mitch McConnell is dancing on her grave,” Reiner claimed falsely. “This is war. Dems have powerful weapons. Now is the time to use them.” He didn’t say what those weapons are, but the threat is in line with the many Democrat calls to “burn everything down” if RBG’s replacement is not delayed until after the election.
