Director and anti-Trump activist Rob Reiner accused Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi of “positing a false choice” between impeachment and imprisonment of the President, and urged her to pursue both.
Pelosi had reportedly told Democrat Party leaders, “I don’t want to see him impeached, I want to see him in prison.” Reiner immediately took to Twitter to express his demand.
“I have the greatest respect for Nancy Pelosi, but she’s positing a false choice in dealing with Trump’s lawlessness,” Reiner tweeted. “We don’t have to choose between Impeachment & Prison. The preservation of Democracy & The Rule of Law requires both. #ImpeachmentInquiryNow.”
