Reid: America ‘Built on the Idea That White Men Had a Particular Kind of Freedom’

November 22, 2021

MSNBC host Joy Reid is such a relentless race-monger and hateful propagandist that she practically owns a daily slot here at Discover the Networks.

Friday on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, Reid claimed falsely that the Kyle Rittenhouse “not guilty” verdict demonstrates that America “was built on the idea that white men had a particular kind of freedom and a particular kind of citizenship that only they have, that gives, from the slave catchers on, the right to inflict violence in the name of protecting property. That’s like the foundational creation of the United States.”

Rittenhouse inflicted violence not because he was protecting property, but because he was protecting himself from a murderous assault by three career criminals rioting in a Black Lives Matter “protest.” Reid glossed over that crucial fact because it doesn’t suit her narrative.

“I was not at all surprised. We’ve talked about this. I mean, this is what we expected to happen,” a bitter Reid lamented. “Because I think we have to keep in mind when we’re watching the criminal justice system at work, that it was designed to do exactly what it did today.”

Yes, our criminal justice system was designed to do what it did in the Rittenhouse trial: exonerate an innocent man from trumped-up, politicized charges designed to send the intimidating message that American citizens aren’t allowed to defend their own lives from leftist violence.
