White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Wednesday that President Joe Biden supported protests of the national anthem at sporting events.

“[P]art of the pride in our country means recognizing moments where we as a country haven’t lived up to our highest ideals,” she said, in response to a question about Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban’s decision to stop playing the anthem altogether before Maverick home games.

The blowhard virtue-signaler Cuban reportedly decided not to play it because “many feel the anthem doesn’t represent them.” Then let those players move to a country with an anthem that strokes their bloated egos. Why does no one get to hear and sing along with the anthem because a few obscenely overpaid, privileged, narcissistic athletes resent that the lyrics don’t mention their names specifically?

Psaki said that she had not spoken with the president about Cuban’s decision, but clarified that Biden supports right to protest the anthem at sporting events. “It means respecting the right of people granted to them in the constitution to peacefully protest,” she continued. “That’s why he ran for president in the first place and that’s what he’s focused on doing every day.”

That’s why Biden ran for president? To support national anthem protesters? That’s what he’s focused on every day?
