Penn: ‘Our Soul as America is Lost’ if We Don’t Join Ukraine’s Fight Against Russia

February 28, 2022

Dictator-loving actor/activist Sean Penn took to social media on Saturday to urge the U.S. to join the Ukraine in its war against Russia, claiming that if we don’t, “our soul as America is lost.”

“Already a brutal mistake of lives taken and hearts broken, and if he doesn’t relent, I believe Mr Putin will have made a most horrible mistake for all of humankind,” said Penn, who is currently in Ukraine filming a documentary about the Russian invasion.

“President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people have risen as historic symbols of courage and principle. Ukraine is the tip of the spear for the democratic embrace of dreams. If we allow it to fight alone, our soul as America is lost,” Penn continued.

Like the majority of his virtue-signaling Hollywood poseurs, Penn is a monumental hypocrite. He praises Ukraine’s fight for freedom against an authoritarian tyrant, when in the past he has buddied up to such authoritarian tyrants as the late Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. And there’s no doubt whose side Penn was on when Canadian authoritarian tyrant Justin Trudeau attempted to destroy the lives of truckers peacefully protesting COVID mandates.

Hollywood mental lightweights can tweet all they want about standing up to Russia, but the vast majority of Americans are against major U.S. involvement in the Ukraine-Russia crisis. Only 26 percent say they want the U.S. to play a major role in the dispute, according to a recent AP-NORC poll.
