Speaking to reporters prior to the first hearing of the impeachment inquiry on Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated that she is “sad” President Trump “doesn’t understand” that Article II of the Constitution, which lays out the powers of the presidency, “does not say that he can do whatever he wants, that he is not above the law, and that he will be held accountable.”
“We are defenders of our democracy,” Pelosi said without apparent irony, considering that the impeachment inquiry she green-lit is a sham run by a Democrat Party which refuses to accept the results of a free and fair election.
“So, I’m very prayerful, thoughtful, and actually sad today that our country has to come to a place where the president doesn’t understand that Article II does not say that he can do whatever he wants, that he is not above the law, and that he will be held accountable.”
Pelosi should be sad our country has come to a place where the Left doesn’t understand that a president can’t be impeached just because they hate him.
