House Speaker Nancy Pelosi complained about President Trump’s legal team on Thursday, claiming that they are dismantling the Constitution.

“The President’s team is there to dismantle the Constitution of the United States,” Pelosi told reporters. “And some of ’em are even lawyers. Imagine that you would say — ever, of any president, no matter who he or she is or whatever party — if the president thinks his or her presidency… is good for the country, then any action is justified, including encouraging a foreign government to have an impact on our elections which is exactly what our Founders were opposed to, and they feared.”

She added that, while the warning cry in 1776 was “The British are coming!”, today it is “The Russians are coming! The Russians are coming! And the president has led a clear path for them to interfere, once again, in our elections, as they are currently doing.”

The Democrats have absolutely gone off the rails. Such baseless, irrational fear-mongering would be comical if it weren’t so damaging to our political discourse.
