House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Friday that Democrats would work with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on a smaller coronavirus relief package now “because we have a new president.”
“What was then before was not more than this,” the doddering Pelosi said inarticulately. “This has simplicity. It’s what we’ve had in our bills. “It’s for a shorter period of time but that’s okay now because we have a new president. With a Democratic president, committed to a scientific solution for this, with the idea, we will have a vaccine, it’s a complete game-changer from them.”
Because they are driven by an anti-Trump animus and not by a commitment to the citizens they’re supposed to serve, Pelosi and her fellow Democrats have held the relief package hostage while Americans suffered under their pointless, destructive lockdowns, so as not to give President Trump any concessions that might make him look good.
But now that they have prematurely declared empty-suit Joe Biden the President-Elect, they’re willing to move forward on a package which, by the way, will be more about pushing COVID-unrelated items on their radical agenda than it will be about helping Americans.
