House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently expressed concern that the American public does not understand the impeachment process.
The Daily Beast reported that during a closed-door members’ meeting following Memorial Day weekend, Pelosi expressed concerns that the public doesn’t fully grasp how the impeachment process works and what the end result of President Trump’s impeachment would be. She reportedly noted that even well-educated voters didn’t understand that it would not necessarily result in his immediate removal from office.
Pelosi has been wrestling to keep control of the Democrat Party in the face of growing internal opposition to her reluctance to impeach Trump.
