Pelosi: Media ‘Could Do a Better Job Selling’ Biden’s Agenda

October 13, 2021

During her weekly press conference, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lectured reporters, claiming they did not do a good enough job of “selling” President Joe Biden’s radical spending plan.

“Do you think you need to do a better job at messaging and going forward, how do you sell this?” the reporter asked, referring to the Democrats’ $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill, which is packed with far-left policies and programs.

“Well, I think you all could do a better job of selling it, to be very frank with you,” responded an apparently peeved Pelosi. “Every time I come here, I go through the list … It is hard to break through when you have such a comprehensive package,” she added. “Whether [Americans] know it or not, they overwhelmingly support it.”

No, they don’t. And it is revealing that Pelosi thinks the media’s job should be to help the administration promote its far-left agenda.

The reporter was referring to a poll from CBS News which revealed that “Only 10% of Americans describe themselves as knowing a lot of specific things about what’s in the Build Back Better plan, and a majority admit to either not knowing specifics or anything at all.”
